Fundraising With Handmade Soap & Skincare: How It Works
Fundraising with handmade soap & skincare: your group sells natural soap, lotion and cleaners people use every day. Nothing upfront, keep up to half.
Cookie dough runs out of freezer space. Wrapping paper sits in a closet. Soap and lotion get used up, and then people want more. Here is how fundraising with handmade soap & skincare works with us, in plain words.
Why handmade soap and lotion make a good fundraiser
We make soap, lotion and cleaners by hand in Kalamazoo, Michigan. These are things almost everyone already buys: hand soap for the sink, lotion for dry winter hands, a bar for the shower, lip balm for a pocket.
That makes the ask easy. Your supporters are not buying a treat they did not need. They are buying something they would use anyway, and it helps your group. Schools, sports teams, dance and music studios, churches and nonprofits all run fundraisers with us.
Something your group is proud to sell and deliver: products almost everyone uses, at prices people are glad to pay.
Four ways to run your fundraiser
Pick the one that fits your group:
- Online. We write the email, you share the link for ten days, and orders ship straight to supporters. Your group keeps 25% 1.
- Catalog. Pass a catalog around for about a week, and we ship everything to you. Your group keeps 40%, or 45% if you are local and pick up 1.
- Gift basket. One product, one price: a hand lotion and liquid soap set. Your group keeps 45%, or 50% if you put the baskets together 1.
- Wholesale. Buy best sellers at 60–75% off retail and sell them at your own price at an event, an office or a league night 1.
Handmade natural lotion for fundraising
The gift basket is the simplest sell we have. Every supporter gets the same thing: our hand lotion and liquid soap together, in several scents. It makes a great holiday or teacher gift, and your group only has one thing to explain.
What it costs and when you get paid
Online, catalog and gift basket fundraisers cost nothing to start, and there is no minimum order 1. We ship your catalogs, order forms and samples free. Supporters pay as they order: by card, check or cash for catalogs and baskets, or at checkout online.
Wholesale is the one where your group buys the product first, then keeps everything above that cost 1.
When the fundraiser closes, we pay you within five business days for online, and within seven business days for catalog and gift basket 1.
Your sellers get something too. A seller who makes 5 sales gets a free travel lotion, and 10 sales earns a free product sampler pack 1. And for every $1,000 your group sells, we throw in a free classroom pizza party 1.
Charity soap your supporters will actually use
If you came here looking for charity soap, a fundraiser is the way to put real money behind your cause. Every fundraiser gets its own link to our online shop, so friends and family far away can order too, and those orders count for your group.
To start, fill in a short form. We get in touch within one business day to plan the dates, the format and the materials with you.

How much does our group keep from a handmade soap fundraiser?

When do we get paid?
Within five business days after an online fundraiser closes, and within seven business days after a catalog or gift basket fundraiser closes 1.
